MLK Service Events

Coming up:

  • January 15th 9am-1pm help register kids for 3K and 4K at the YMCA Armory. Sign up below, laptop required.
  • As always!!! CHiPs Food Drive - Wednesday morning at drop off.  See below for details. Sign up here to volunteer

The Community Outreach and DEI Committees are thrilled to bring the service projects listed above to your attention ahead of MLK Day. Through our Mutual Aid partnerships we have learned there is an urgent need among new families in District 15 for help registering their kids for 3K and PreK.

The Armory has offered us a space on Monday January 15th to help families get set up. We'll have coffee, pop-up tables, and enthusiasm to help these families get myschools accounts and learn about early childhood education programs in District 15.

If you are bilingual, we would greatly appreciate your participation, but what we really need is you and your laptop. Middle school kids are also greatly welcome. Volunteer service hours will be given! This is a quickly evolving project. Additional details will be available by Friday January 12th. Please reach out to emilybhager@gmail.com with questions.
