Dear PS 107 Families,
I am writing to inform you that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the building on Friday, December 10th. Families in the classroom of the individual who tested positive have been notified separately, and students who are identified as close contacts will be notified directly. The DOE's official schoolwide notification letter is attached.
A few reminders:
- If your child is exposed to someone with COVID-19 (in or out of school), please be sure to notify Pamela Rosenberg, Parent Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that she can advise you on the regulations regarding quarantine, as well as ensure that your child receives remote work from their teacher(s).
- Anyone who is considered fully vaccinated (which is two weeks after receiving the 2nd shot) at the time of exposure, and who has no symptoms, does not need to quarantine.
- Please refer to the DOE's Health Screening Questionnaire (also attached) to ensure you are following the current health guidance.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Stay safe, everyone! We are definitely in the midst of an uptick in cases across the city.
