Lunar New Year is on Friday, February 16. Mark the Year of the Dog by learning about how Asian cultures celebrate the New Year. There are many programs and events throughout the city during the entire month of February.
CelebrASIA NYC is a collaboration among leading cultural institutions in New York City designed to introduce children to Asian festivals and themes. Children are invited to ring in many Asian New Years from January to March by participating in hands‐on workshops and programs at Japan Society, The Korea Society, Flushing Town Hall, China Institute, Asia Society, Museum of Chinese in America, and the Rubin Museum of Art.
