PS 107 Read-A-Thon Begins Friday

Dust off your favorite books and find your most comfortable pajamas! The PS 107 Read-A-Thon officially kicks off this Friday, February 27th with a Pajama Day and "Drop Everything and Read" announcements.

During the Read-A-Thon, students are encouraged to read as much as they can and ask friends and family to support them by making a donation to our school. Similar to last year, each class will work together to achieve a collective reading goal. If a class reaches its goal, every student, teacher, and hamster will win a free ice cream from Goodiez! This year, the event is a few days shorter and the goals are a little more ambitious, so students will need to work extra hard to help their class earn their prize.

Class Reading Goals:

• Pre-K: 2,000 minutes

• Kindergarten: 3,000 minutes

• 1st Grade: 4,000 minutes

• 2nd Grade: 8,000 minutes

• 3rd - 5th Grades: 12,000 minutes
