Not that you’ve been counting the days, but for those few who are still caught up in the haze of summer heat, guess what? The start of the school year is next week!
We know you’ve got big Labor Day plans to finish off your summer, but we wanted to remind you of a few important items so you’ll be able to glide into school on Wednesday question-free.
This Tuesday at 5 pm there is an evening picnic for all incoming Kindergarten families at the Prospect Park Bandshell.
First Day Drop Off Info
Kindergarten- Enter through the little yard on 13th St. Parents may escort their children to the classroom through 9/21. Half Day for Kindergarten the first day. Dismissal at 12 noon.
1stGrade - Enter through the little yard on 13th St. Parents may escort their children to the classroom for the first two days of school. Children go to the classrooms themselves on Fri, 9/7 onward.
Grades 2-5 - Enter through the big yard. Your child’s teachers will be there on the first day with signs noting classroom number. Find your teacher and line-up to enter the building.
The Principal and Assistant Principal will each be in a yard and we'll have other staff in the hallways to help students and parents find their classrooms.
Bell rings at 8:20 am.
Welcome Back Breakfast
Starting at 8:30, you can come dry your tears of sadness or joy (depending on how your summer went ) in the big yard with coffee, bagels, and the chance to catch up with friends old and new.
Dismissal time is 2:40. (Again, Half Day for Kindergarten the first day. Dismissal at 12 noon.)
Kindergarten students can be picked up in the little yard on 13th St.
1st-5thgrade students can be picked up in the big yard. Look for your child’s teacher.
For those already signed up for afterschool, sessions begin Wednesday, Sept. 5th for grades 1-5, and Thursday, Sept. 6th for Kindergarten
If you have yet to sign up, we are still accepting enrollments for the 2018-19 school year, with four membership types available: 1 set day per week, 2 set days per week, monthly (3 days or more) or drop-in.
