Hey Track Team,

We've got some fun Spring events in March (a meet, a race and a parade!) for you to check out as well as a preview of some 5K's we will run as it gets warmer in April -June!! BTW, if any parents want to volunteer, WE NEED LOTS OF HELP with everything!

FRIDAY, MARCH 3RD - PS 107/RUN 4 FUN Friendly Track Meet at the Armory – 3:20 – 6 pm. This meet is free and open to any track team member from K-8 whether you run on Fridays or not put on by the coaches of both teams.

We will run 4-200 relay and 200m and if there is time there will be an 800m. The groups will be K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8. K-5 will run from 3:30-4:50 pm and 6-8 will run from 4:45 – 6 pm.

Ms. Pamela will be sending out a google form for anyone who will be missing a Friday program by competing in this meet.

THIS IS THE ONLY TRACK MEET WE WILL HAVE SO WE ENCOURAGE ALL TRACK MEMBERS TO COME AND RUN.

If you are running in the meet and are not coming with Friday track, please arrive by 3:00 pm for warm up for grades K-5 and alumni should try to arrive by 4 pm if possible. Friday track will walk to the Armory as usual though we will return to PS 107 after 5 pm.

NOTE FROM MS PAMELA:
Students who go to afterschool on Fridays will be escorted to the armory and back to school for dismissal. Students who do not attend afterschool on Fridays will meet the track team and coaches at the armory.

Please fill out the form if your child will miss their usual Friday afterschool specialty program to participate in the meet.

SATURDAY, MARCH 11TH - Shamrock Run - 2 pm in Prospect Park. A fundraiser for the PS107 Afterschool Program with a special appearance by the PS 107 Cheer Squad.

SUNDAY, MARCH 19TH St. Patrick's Day Parade - 12:30 pm meet on PPW and 10th St. The PS107 Track Team will once again be marching in the Park Slope St. Patrick's Day Parade with special addition the PS 107 Cheer Squad. Details to come!

SATURDAY, APRIL 1ST – Autism Speaks 5K – 10am Prospect Park. This is a great 5K in our backyard for an amazing organization. Cost is $35 (price goes up in March) for adults and $20n for kids Be sure to join “The PS 107 Track Team” when registering.

OPEN TO ALL including parents, siblings and friends.

Together we will try to raise $1,000 for autism.

SUNDAY, JUNE 4TH – Kenny Dolan 5K – 10 am Prospect Park. Another great 5K in our backyard with a great after-race party complete with burgers and bouncy castles. Price is $35 (goes up in April). Be sure to join “The PS 107 Track Team” when you register.
