Parenting the i-Generation:
A Developmental and Mindful Approach
Please join us for a discussion about raising kids in the digital age. Led by digital media and families specialist Julia Storm, this workshop will explore parents' concerns including, but not limited to: learning to self-regulate and manage screen time, understanding the pros and cons of parental controls, learning what your child is getting into online, encouraging empathetic and conscientious behavior, online safety, and most importantly, creating emotional resilience online and off.
This workshop is especially targeted for parents in upper grades, but all families are welcome to attend. The event is being hosted by the PS107 PTA, and will begin promptly after our brief monthly PTA mini-meeting at 8:30am (held this month on a Thursday, due to the school holiday on Friday). Please email PTA President Leigh Smith with any questions.
Julia A.G. Storm is the founder of ReConnect—a whole child, whole family approach to preparing your young child for life in the Digital Age. It is Julia's belief that the key to raising resilient, conscious and ethical kids in today's digital environment is to start the conversation and the habit building while children are still young and receptive. Her workshops and seminars bolster and support parents, giving them actual tools and ideas to take home and implement.
