SLT Election Announcement – Thursday, May 22nd

This Thursday, May 22nd, we will hold our School Leadership Team (SLT) election. The SLT is a committee of school representatives who meet monthly to discuss important school governance decisions as well as lead and coordinate school improvement initiatives.  It includes several PS 107 faculty members (including Ms. Joanna), the PTA Co-Presidents, a representative from after-school, and four parent representatives elected by the school community.

SLT parent representatives serve two-year terms. This year, two of four parent representatives have completed their terms and two seats are up for election. We have received interest from six parent candidates who are willing to take on this task and they have submitted personal statements, attached below.

To select the two new parent representatives, we will hold an election during our next PTA meeting on Thursday, May 22, from 9AM to 10AM (on Zoom.)
