For all K-8 families interested in the NYC DOE Summer Rising (Summer School/Camp) program please attend the Brooklyn North Summer Rising Town Hall for Families on June 9th at 6:00pm. Families may register HERE. This is the BEST way to obtain information about the program. Summer Rising is a city program and not administered by PS 107 so please attend the Brooklyn North Town Hall for detailed information about Summer Rising.
PS 154 has been added as a Summer Rising location. For many PS 107 families this location is closer to home and easier to get to.
More information from the NYC DOE website is below.
Summer Rising Grades K-8
Summer Rising is New York City’s free school-based summer program for any City child in grades K–8. Summer Rising will integrate the strengths of DOE academics with the Department of Youth & Community Development’s (DYCD) school-based enrichment programming. Students in grades K–8 will get outside, learn, and engage with peers and caring adults in safe, supervised, and enriching ways. These programs will provide a bridge to the next school year and allow students to reconnect with one another and with their schools. Students will address unfinished learning while being provided avenues for recreation, exploration, and fun.
