Dear PS107 Families,
It's hard to believe but June is almost here. The steamy weather lately has reminded me how lucky we've been so far this spring. Those cool mornings and evenings were so pleasant...and easy on the hair!
The DOE announced this week that Chancellor's Day which is always the first Thursday in June, will again be set aside as a day of professional development for teachers and school staff. Chancellor's Day is on Thursday, 6/4. There will be no remote learning plans posted in classrooms that day.
Normally there is also a Clerical non-attendance day during the second week of June. This year it is scheduled for Tuesday June 9th. The DOE has not yet announced whether remote learning will be suspended that day. I will let you know as soon I hear.
Next Friday, June 5th, traditionally our last First Friday of the year, I will be hosting "Coffee with the Principal" on Zoom from 9:00-10:00am. I will send the link to join the meeting on Thursday. My plan is to share whatever information I have about the budget, the summer, September, grading, graduation, and more. I will take your questions too. I hope you can join me there.
Have a lovely weekend and please stay safe.
