The First Week of Summer Math-A-Thon Has Been a Hit!
Fri, Aug 23 5:58pm

After just one week of our first ever Summer Math-A-Thon, we already have over 110 P.S. 107 children participating and over 7,500 total math problems solved! Great work everyone. Remember, if any grade collectively solves at least 5,000 math problems, the entire grade will earn a well-deserved ice cream party

The 3rd graders have been going strong all week with over 2,000 problems solved, but (surprise!) the rising kindergarteners are improbably hot on their heels with almost 1,500 problems tackled. The 4th graders are picking up speed with over 1,300 and the 1st, 2nd, and 5th graders are still in great shape to win that ice cream party with over 900.

This isn’t an individual contest, but we wanted to highlight a few top mathletes for the first week, including:

K: Alden T, Rory B, Wilder G

1: Adam E, Pau M, Peter C

2: Emmy B, Marlowe B, Nicholas F

3: David V, Hazel A, Zayden L

4: Georgie R, Kaiba F, Kanoa F

5: Luke H, Ozzie H, Seamus R

It's not too late to dive into the mathematical fun and secure bragging rights for your grade. Head over to ForOurSchool.org, sign up, and enter our "Fundraiser Code" of 144985.

Like our annual Read-A-Thon, students are also encouraged to hit up parents, grandparents, and family friends for donations. We currently stand at over $1,000 and hoping to push that even higher!

Are the problems too easy or hard for your student? Feel free to contact us at evan.appleby@gmail.com and we can adjust the difficulty level.
