It's here!! The Read-A-Thon starts bright and early tomorrow morning and we're kicking it off with some special events. Come to school in your coziest pajamas and bring your favorite book because, throughout the day, Ms. Joanna will be making "Drop Everything and Read" announcements. When you hear them, stop what you are doing and get ready to read!

Students in each class will work together to reach their class reading goals. Whether your student reads 1 minute or 1,000, they'll be helping every student, teacher, and hamster in their class earn a free ice cream from Goodiez (yes please!!).

In addition to helping to promote literacy and grow students' love of reading, this is a big fundraising event for the school, so we hope you'll consider making a donation or sending an email to grandparents, friends, and family asking them to support our school. If your student prefers not to participate in the reading challenge, but you would still like to support the school, you can make a general donation here:

Also, be sure to check your student's backpack tomorrow for their DEI BINGO card. It's a fun way to encourage reading books about characters and perspectives different from our own!
