Bridge to Afterschool for In-Person Attendees!!!
We are excited to announce that we will pilot a Bridge program for students that are attending school in-person on the days they are registered for Afterschool. We understand the heavy burden it has placed on families that we have not been able to transition children directly from school this year. This has been due to challenges with the staggered dismissal from school, and changes in the DOE schedule for our wonderful staff, mandating their workday last until 2:20pm to accommodate office hours.
With the hiring of additional staff and some creative thinking, we have worked out a pilot Bridge program to allow us to care for your children during the transition between dismissal and when our programs start. This transition would be a time for students to relax and have conversations with their Afterschool cohorts, and we would ask that you send snacks and reading or writing materials for your child to enjoy during this time. In order to offset the additional cost for staffing, we will be charging a $20 fee for days you register for the bridge. Click here to sign-up!
New Pre-Track Class for 1st Grade!
- Cohort A: Tuesdays 2:30-3:30 pm
- Cohort B: Wednesdays 2:30-3:30 pm
- For remote attendees, you can choose either cohort A or B, but you must remain with just that cohort for all Afterschool programs.
They might not be ready for the big loop in the park, but they are ready to run! We are excited to announce the launch of a new Pre-Track class for 1st graders in the big yard. This class will incorporate all the regular Track routines to get our first graders ready to move up into full track-team mode next year, along with fun age-appropriate Track games. In case of rain, snow, or temperatures below 34 degrees, the class will take place via Zoom. (Might sound crazy, but the kids love it!)
To sign-up, participants will need to register for Afterschool by paying the one-time yearly registration fee of $75*. After paying the one-time registration fee, you will just need to add the track class to your cart and follow the prompts at checkout.
*If you’ve already registered for Afterschool, you do not pay this fee again.
New Alumni/ae Track Program (Mondays 3:30-4:40 pm)
Do you have, or know, a PS107 Alum who loves to run? Misses track? While the pandemic and related DOE regulations made our traditionally volunteer program impossible, Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and DOE regulations, we are unable to run an alumni/ae volunteer program as in previous years. BUT we think we found the perfect way to see our alums and support our track coaches…
We are happy to announce that we are launching an Alumni/ae Track class! Families would register their alumna/us for the program just as in previous years by setting up an account in our new registration portal, paying the one-time registration fee, (this year a lower $75 fee,)), and then adding the track class and following the prompts to complete checkout.
Please Note: In case of rain, snow, or temperatures below 34 degrees, the class will take place via Zoom.
~If we have enough interest, we would love to add a second day of alumnae/i track. Please reach out to Sandy Phillips regarding additional days.
All programs launch starting the week of November 16th and run through the last day prior to Winter Break, Dec. 23rd.
You can register for all of these programs at our registration portal: 6crickets.
Please reach out to Sandy Phillips with any questions via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone at 347-786-0483.
