SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TEAM MEETING
The SLT is a school steering committee that identifies and discusses issues such as curriculum, school procedures and policies, and future growth. It comprises the principal, the PTA president, a UFT representative, elected parents, and teachers. The SLT meets monthly at PS107 in working sessions that are open for all. Parents may request to present a topic or issue to the SLT by contacting their parent representatives. Please reach out to Nadia Benlarbi, Parent Coordinator, to be connected with an SLT parent representative. Learn more on the PS 107 website here.
SCHOOL-WIDE LICE CHECK
On Wednesday, there will be a school-wide lice check. Please note that the PTA pays for these checks each year. We ask families who can to submit a one-time payment of $15/student for these professional lice-checks. If you haven’t already contributed this year, please submit payment here.
THURSDAY MORNING TRACK RUNS
Please join us for a morning group run for ALL students K-5 (grown up required for all runners). The group will meet at the main school entrance at 7:00 am.
NEUROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP
Join us with Dr. Kluger for a parent-focused workshop that explores the role of neuropsychological assessments in supporting your child's learning journey. In "Supporting All Learners," you'll discover how these assessments can help identify individual learning styles and challenges, and learn strategies for advocating for your child's educational needs. Key Takeaways are as follows:
-
Understand what neuropsychological assessments are and how they can benefit your child.
-
Learn to recognize different learning profiles and how they impact education.
-
Discover ways to interpret assessment results and collaborate with educators for effective support.
The workshop will be available both in-person in the cafeteria of PS 107 and live-streamed, starting at 9AM on April 24th.
General PTA Meeting
Please join us on Thursday for our April PTA General Meeting!
