STEAM Day Coming Feb 2nd!
The PS107 PTA Math & Science Committee is excited to announce that STEAM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Math) is coming on February 2nd!
This year's theme is EUREKA! The Beauty in Biology, focusing our exciting workshops on biology, pairing the magic and wonder of discovery along with practice and theory. Through hands-on demonstrations and exhibits, kids will explore the human body, bees, and pollinators, plants, birds, frogs, Fibonacci, oysters & water, bioengineering + much, much more.
We have scoped out a lot of fun workshops, but none of this happens without volunteers like you. Please take a look below and let us know how you'd like to help. It can be to sign up as a workshop volunteer (you'll work with the workshop leaders) work on cleanup, setup, the STEAM Cafe, or donating baked goods. There's plenty to do!
Too busy, but you'd like to donate $ or supplies? Want to help co-lead a workshop? - Reach out to Brandie Krulik at email@example.com.

PS 107 Family Fitness Fun Run Coming THIS SATURDAY!
This Saturday, January 26th from 9 am – 12 pm Ms. Diane and the PS 107 Track Team is hosting the PS 107 Family Fitness Fun Run Fundraiser to benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign!
This is PS 107’s way of saying thanks to the Y for an amazing PE space. We would like to invite all PS 107 families to come to the Armory on Saturday. Jan 26th and run. PS 107 students and track team members are free and all others (parents, siblings, friends, etc.) pay $10. The non-timed 5K (25 laps) is from 9-10:30 am and the 3+K (16 laps) is from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
This is also about empowering our kids to give back through their running. Kids can raise money to send other kids to camp and Y classes by asking friends and family for sponsorship donations either via the sponsorship page which went home this week or online by making a crowdrise page. Although it is not mandatory, this is a great way for our kids to give back to our community at large!
Look for sign-ups this week!
That's it for now! Have a great week!
