Food Drive This Week!!!

City Harvest Food Drive is THIS WEEK!

Did you know nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers face hunger every year, including one in five New York City children?

With that in mind, we're trying to collect as many pounds of food as possible, so please bring in nonperishable goods, including:
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Canned proteins (i.e. tuna or beans)
  • Peanut butter (plastic jars)
  • Macaroni and cheese (packaged)
  • Soups
  • Hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
  • Juice packs
Donations can be left in the boxes next of Officer Sharon's Desk. And if you're in Lower Manhattan, visit the 2019 Canstruction Exhibit on display now in Brookfield Place.

We also need 2 parent volunteers per morning to haul donations down into storage

Its Almost Foley Fir Time!

So guess what? Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! And then, well, we don't need to tell you what's next. So, it feels early, yet legit, to let you know that once again, the amazing folks at Foley Firs are donating $10 for every tree sold to our PTA. Just mention our school when you purchase your tree and sign the school’s fundraiser list and our PTA will receive the donation.

his year, the stand will open on Saturday November 30th and close Monday December 23rd and will be open 7 days a week, in time for the after-school crowds on weekdays and all day on weekends. The stand is located on the corner of 8th Street and 8th Avenue. They offer free delivery and will gladly set the tree up, provided the tree stand is in place.

Thanks and have a great week!
