Our biggest and wildest event of the year is happening IN FIVE DAYS! If you've been there before, you know how fun it is, and if you haven't, well, you're in for a treat.

But it doesn't happen on it's own. Since it's our biggest event, it also requires the most volunteers, and with 5 days to go we still have over 325 openings for help.

  • Shifts only last an hour or so.
  • You'll have plenty of other parents to watch your kids while you volunteer.

Click here to find the right jobs at the right times and sign up to help!

Can't volunteer? Maybe you can...

Bake A Pie!
Do you make a perfect pecan? A majestic meringue? An awesome apple?
Then enter the Fall Festival Pie Contest and win the accolades you so deserve.  The more entries the better!
Feeling like taking on something a little more hearty? Then...
Make Some Chili!
Three ways to win!
  • Traditional Chili!
  • Vegetarian Chili!
  • Most Creative Name!

But it's not really about winning. (NOTE: It is.)It's going to be the perfect fall day for chili, so bust out the beans and get cooking!

Sign up here for the Chili Contest!

Don't Forget To Donate Your Books!
Have any books that have fallen out of rotation? Skip the stoop donation and instead bring them to the Fall Fest Book Drive! On Saturday, you can bring children's and young adult books to Fall Fest for donation. (No adult books please.) Buy like-new books at incredible prices, or sign-up on Konstella to volunteer at our booth. Our tables will be on the corner of 8th Ave and 14th Street. Any questions, contact emilybhager@gmail.comor
Eat & Greet Tickets Are On Sale!
Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 Eat & Greet event and, as usual, they are likely to sell out!
In order to maximize the capacity for the event, we still need dinner hosts in particular - and if you host you get in for free! You can sign up to host via the web page.
Reading Friends Needs Your Help!
Are you looking to get involved in the PS107 community but aren't sure what to do? This is the volunteer opportunity for you! Learning Friends is a unique volunteer opportunity that brings you in to work directly with a student during the school day, working alongside them to help instill the confidence they need to become independent readers.

  • When: You pick the day of the week, 8:30-9 am, beginning in October and lasting all year.
  • Why: To instill confidence and a love of reading into these funny and sweet young reader.
  • Who: Parents and grandparents. No experience necessary! Just bring your love of books and sense of fun.
PTA Meeting This Thursday Night!
Want some insight into how your PTA dollars are spent? At this month's PTA meting, we will review and approve the budget for this year. And then, if time permits, we'll place serious cash wagers on who will win the pie and chili contests.
Thanks and have a great week!
