Fall is here! Time to bust out the sweaters and darker, slightly higher ABV beers!
If you're looking for things to do this weekend, we have a few ideas, each with its own Fall Festival twist.
Saturday: Make A Pie
Test out your killer pie recipe in preparation for the Fall Festival Pie Contest. Pumpkin, cherry, chocolate, pecan, meringue, key lime, sweet potato, brownie, or baker's choice. Your PTA president is the returning champ, and, just between us, she's gotten a little cocky about it. Click here to sign up and see if you have what it takes to take the title!!
Sunday AM: Make Some Chili
Nothing brings the family together like a day making chili together. (And a night weaponing said meal.) So what better thing to do than test out your potentially award-winning Fall Festival Chili Contest recipe and get the necessary feedback to take this year's crown. This year there are two categories, traditional and vegetarian, as well as a prize for the most creative name, so get cooking, and thinking. But first, sign up here to enter!
Sunday PM: Clean Out Your Bookshelves
It's been a month plus of school and, thanks to our amazing teachers, your child is already reading so much better than they were at the beginning of the year!
So what do you do with all those books they're suddenly too old for?
Fortunately, the Fall Fest Book Drive is coming up! On the day of the festival, you can bring children's and young adult books to Fall Fest for donation. (No adult books please.) Buy like-new books at incredible prices, or sign-up on Konstella to volunteer at our booth. Our tables will be on the corner of 8th Ave and 14th Street. Any questions, contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks and have a great fall weekend!!
