Blue + Gold Gear Sale
Gym shirts, trip shirts, and select PS107 gear will be on sale outside the main school entrance on Tuesday, September 19, at drop-off. We can accept cash, check or credit card. We also need two volunteers to help at the tables: Please click here to signup!
Coffee Talks with the Principal
This week kicks off a series of grade-wide coffee talks with Principal Eve Litwack that will continue through early October, beginning with the first Coffee Talk for Kindergarten parents on Monday, September 18 at 8:30am. Parents will have an opportunity to learn information about curriculum, scheduling, and arts residencies unique to their child’s grade, and will be able to share their questions with Ms. Eve. See your Konstella calendar for the Coffee Talk scheduled for your child’s grade.
Fall Photo Day
Fall Photo Day is Tuesday, October 3rd! Classroom and individual photos will be taken during the school day. Picture forms have been sent home in your child's blue folders. Please fill out the form and send it back to your classroom teacher as soon as possible.
A reminder will go out as we get closer to the date along with a volunteer sign-up sheet. For now, mark your calendars for October 3rd if you would like to volunteer! If you have questions, contact Jennifer Kattamis.
Green & Healthy
The Green & Healthy Committee welcomes new committee members who are interested in helping to take care of the Sunshine Garden, located in and around the school’s 13th Street entrance. Contact Kate Gitnick or join the Green & Healthy Committee email list on Konstella.
Lunch PALS (Parent Assistance and Lunchtime Supervision) is a parent volunteer program at PS107 that works to make lunch and recess a safer, more enjoyable time for our students in grades K-2. Your child does not need to be in the lower grades to sign up for this program. All parents/caregivers are welcome to volunteer.
We need more volunteers! Volunteers are asked to commit to coming at least one lunch period at the same time each week for the entire semester. Please signup on Konstella to choose a time that fits with your schedule.
There will be a mandatory training session for all Lunch PALS volunteers this Tuesday, September 19 at 10am. Please contact Erica Cohen if you have any questions.
Transitioning to School Workshop
This Wednesday from 8:30-9:30am the school will be hosting a special parent workshop with Javonia Smith, Department of Health School Liaison and Sarah Green, PS 107 Guidance Counselor, titled “Transitioning Your Child To School.” All parents are welcome; parents of kindergarteners may find this workshop especially informative. Please contact Parent Coordinator Pamela Rosenberg with any questions.
Konstella Mobile App Update
Konstella recently released an update to the iOS app that improves the speed of the program, making it easier to view announcements and calendar events, signup for volunteer opportunities, view the school directory, and more. Check your App Updates to install the latest version.
