Committee Updates:
Community Outreach
The Kids Helping Kids: Trick or Treat for UNICEF coin collection is going strong! Extra boxes are available in the main office if needed. Please return your boxes to the main office anytime this week. The deadline to return boxes is this Friday, November 3.

Please note that Halloween costumes are not allowed during school this week. As Ms. Eve explained in her October letter, “We all love Halloween but I respectfully ask that children are not sent to school in costumes as this is a major distraction during the school day and can also pose a safety risk to those wearing them.” If a class celebration is being planned, you will receive details from your class parent or your child’s teacher.

iGive and Amazon Referral Programs
Have you tried iGive? It's easy to earn money for PS107 every time you shop online. iGive is an online referral program that gives money to our school when you shop at most major businesses. Just install the secure widget/extension on your computer browser, and a small iGive logo will appear in the corner of your screen to let you know when you are visiting a participating online retailer. Without doing anything at all, our school automatically earns a small percentage of your purchase. So far we’ve brought in over $3,000 and counting! Apps for iOS and Android are also available. Click here to join: http://www.igive.com/iISXy5Q

You can also earn money for our school when you shop at Amazon. Use the Amazon link on the ps107.org homepage to help us earn up to 10% of your purchase total through our affiliate link (http://amzn.to/2e9UXbe). Our school earns a commission as long as you begin your shopping from this URL, even if you finish checkout at a later time.

Alternately, it is possible to choose “Public School 107 Parent Teacher Association” as your Amazon Smile recipient for a much smaller 0.5% donation.

Lost + Found
Please stop by the Lost & Found this week, and please label your jackets and water bottles! Many items with names have been returned, but there are still over 70 items without names. Photos of lost items can be viewed here on Konstella and will also be put outside on the fence one last time the morning of First Friday. All unclaimed items will be donated to a local school or charity at the end of this week.

If you have any questions, or see one of your lost items in the Konstella photo album, please contact Nancy Lin. Thank you!

After First Friday in your child’s classroom, come down to the cafeteria where we’ll have tea generously donated by DAVIDsTEA, as well as some light breakfast snacks. Chat with fellow parents and get to know your representatives on the PTA Board. We'd love to answer any questions or hear any feedback you might have!

Thursday Morning Track Run
This is a friendly reminder that the weekly Thursday Morning Run is not a drop-off activity. Children of all ages are welcome, but every child must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and children should meet at 7am in front of the school, at which time everyone walks together to the park. Parents can run with the group or wait at the park for the return walk to school.

Please click here to join the Thursday Morning Track Run Committee on Konstella to be notified if the run is cancelled due to weather. Please contact angela@ps107.org with any questions.

Track Team Bake Sale
Join us for a bake sale on Election Day at the Park Slope Armory YMCA to help raise money for the PS107 Track Team! Kid and parent volunteers are needed! Sign up on Konstella to donate baked goods and help during the bake sale.
