Community Outreach Holiday Toy Drive
Thank you for your generosity, and please keep sending your online donations tonight! We are nearing our goal of providing 240 small toys for the kindergarteners at P.S. 169, an underserved school in Sunset Park. Let's help spread some holiday joy at their annual holiday celebration. Click here for more details and to donate a toy.
Community Outreach Book Drive
The Community Outreach Committee recently hosted a successful book giveaway at P.S. 169 in Sunset Park. Students of all ages were able to choose from a wide selection of free books. Thank you to everyone who donated books and volunteered at the Fall Festival book drive, making this fun event possible.
Foley Trees PTA Fundraiser
The Foley Christmas Tree Stand, on 8th Avenue and 8th Street, is open for the holiday season and will make a $10 donation to PS107 when any customer mentions our school. Last year our school earned more than $2,000 from this local business fundraiser. Please ask your friends and neighbors to help support PS107! Foley Firs offers free delivery and setup, and you can even order your trees online at www.foleyfirs.com.
Fourth + Fifth Grade Book Club
The 4th + 5th Grade Book Club had a wonderful meeting last week, discussing Upside Down in the Middle of Nowhere by Julie T. Lamana, about a young girl's experience living through Hurricane Katrina. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 7:30 a.m. in the library, when we will be discussing A Tale Dark and Grimm by Adam Gidwitz, in which Hansel and Gretel walk out of their own story and into eight other classic Grimm–inspired tales.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to our next meeting regardless of whether you made it to the first ones! Please sign up for the book club on Konstella and join the chat group, where we post updates, discussion follow ups, etc.
PTA Monthly Meeting
Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting this Friday at 8:30am in the cafeteria. At this brief general meeting we will introduce upcoming school events, highlight volunteer opportunities, and provide an update on school news and the budget.
For general questions or concerns, parents are always welcome to email the parent representatives of the School Leadership Team at email@example.com.
