Committee Updates:

Community Outreach
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Holiday Toy Drive for the kindergarten students at P.S. 169 in Sunset Park. Your donations helped to make for a fantastic holiday party. Assistant Principal Joanna Cohen wrote: “It goes without saying that we are beyond grateful to the PS107 community for making this happen. The joy our students felt was palpable, and it couldn’t have happened without you. Thank you so much for all of your efforts to make this happen. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2018!”

Lost + Found
The Lost + Found is overflowing again! We will be clearing out and donating unclaimed items on Thursday, January 11.  Photos of lost items can be viewed here on Konstella. Due to the extreme cold weather we will not be displaying items outside, so please come look for lost items on the tables, bins, and racks on the first floor. As always, please, please label your jackets and water bottles! If you have any questions, or can identify one of your lost items in the Konstella photo album, please contact Nancy Lin.

Save the date for STEAM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) on Saturday, February 3 from 12-3pm. Students and their families will enjoy hands-on science and art enrichment as PS107 classrooms are transformed into learning centers for a variety of STEAM projects and experiments. STEAM Day is also a great volunteer opportunity for parents who have a hard time finding time to volunteer throughout the year but are able to spend a few hours on a weekend afternoon helping to run a workshop. Stay tuned for more information, details about the new Mystery Art Sale, and volunteer signups via Konstella.

Upcoming School Holidays
School will be closed next Monday, January 15, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Please note that in February, Lunar New Year falls on Friday, February 16, so Midwinter Break actually begins on a Friday and extends through the following week.
