It’s almost Auction time! This year’s Auction Gala will be held on Friday, April 20, in a gorgeous new location—the Green Building. However, the auction just won’t be an auction without lots of great items and experiences to auction off! Do you have a vacation home you could share? Special connections to restaurants, hotels, or entertainment? Services that you can donate?Fun gift baskets or merchandise? We welcome all of your donations! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to get involved in the auction committee.
4th + 5th Grade Book Club
The next meeting of the 4th + 5th Grade book club will be on March 6 at 7:30 a.m., when the book selection will be The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963, a historical-fiction novel by Christopher Paul Curtis. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come regardless of whether you made it to previous meetings! Any questions? Email Ann Givens.
The Learning Friends Committee is seeking new volunteers to read with a kindergarten buddy every week for half an hour. No teaching experience required! Our mission is to share our love of books with young readers and spark the joy of reading. If you are available weekly from 8:30-9am (you choose the day of the week) and love to share the magic of books, please contact committee chairs Erin Bogaty or Susie Jen.
Everyone is welcome to join us at MathMagic! every Wednesday morning on the 4th floor at 7:30am. Kids and their parents will enjoy math enrichment activities through shared problems, games, and challenges.

During the winter months, monthly PTA meetings are held on Friday mornings, but since this Friday is a holiday, our meeting will be held instead on Thursday (Pajama Day!) at 8:30am. Come hear an update from Ms. Eve, announcements from our parent coordinator, Pamela Rosenberg, and news from the PTA Executive Board and Committees. We will resume holding monthly PTA evening meetings in March.
The 4th Annual PS107 Read-A-Thon kicks off this Thursday with a school-wide Pajama Day. All students (and teachers, too!) are invited to wear their pajamas to school and get ready to “Drop Everything and Read” (D.E.A.R.). All Read-A-Thon instructions and sponsor forms will be sent home via backpack mail and Konstella this week. Remember to mention the PS107 Read-A-Thon for 20% off any children’s book purchases at Powerhouse Books through March 3.
