Barnes & Noble Bookfair Event
Save the date for the PS107 bookfair and fundraiser at Barnes & Noble on Saturday, April 28. There will be special book readings and activities throughout the morning and early afternoon, including a magic show, arts & crafts, drag queen story hour, poetry open mic for kids, and more. Come join the fun and help raise money for our school! PS107 will earn a percentage of store and cafe sales all day when customers present our school voucher code. The full schedule of events, and volunteer signups, will be sent home soon via backpack flyers and Konstella.

Community Outreach Committee
The Community Outreach Committee is hosting a spring planning meeting on Tuesday morning, April 10 at 8:30AM (corrected time) at Cafe Couleur on 7th Avenue and 15th Street. Come find out how you can help with one of the many community outreach efforts that are being planned for the spring. Everyone is welcome! If you can’t make it Tuesday morning, but still want to get involved, join the Community Outreach committee on Konstella or email committee chairs Hillary Powell and Stephanie Hochman.

It’s Participatory Budgeting Week!
PBNYC vote week is April 7th-April 15th. Families can review the projects online or at a voting site, and decide together which projects would best benefit our community. If you have a child who is 11 years old or older, they are eligible to vote as well! Click here to find a voting location in our district and look for pop-up polls at the library, YMCA, Old Stone House, and around the neighborhood this week. Happy voting!

Parent Workshop: Raising Resilient Girls
PS 154 in Windsor Terrace is hosting a parent workshop, "Raising Resilient Girls," tomorrow, April 9th, at 6:30pm. The presentation will be led by Simone Marean, co-founder of Girls Leadership, a renowned national organization that addresses challenges girls face today. The talk will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A session for parents, teachers, and community members. This presentation is for adults only.
