Committee Updates:

Big Yard Games
The first-ever Big Yard Games needs your support! Volunteers are needed to help as we organize kids into smaller groups and rotate through obstacle courses, relay races, and fitness games in the big yard on Tuesday, June 12. Signup here on Konstella, or if your time slot fills up, feel free to come anyway and cheer on our participants! Special thanks to our Community Partner Powerplay for sponsoring the Big Yard Games.

Brooklyn Cyclones
We still have a handful of tickets left for the Brooklyn Cyclones game on Sunday, June 24th at Coney Island MCU Park. Tickets are $17 each plus handling fees, and include some fun perks for the kids. Hope you can join us! Be sure to purchase your tickets using this special link for PS107: https://groupmatics.events/PS107 (code: PS107)

4th + 5th Grade Book Club
The 4th + 5th Grade Book Club is hosting our final meeting of the year this Tuesday, June 5, at 7:30am, when will be discussing From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg, the Newbery Award-winning 1967 classic about a brother and sister who run away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to our next meeting regardless of whether you made it to the first ones. Questions? Please contact Ann Givens at anncharlottegivens@gmail.com

Fairway Community Partners
This Tuesday is Double Day, when Fairway will double their donation to our school when you scan your PS107 Fairway Community Partners card at checkout. Need a Fairway Community Partners card? Email Bobby@ps107.org or ask in the main office. Each card comes with two key tags to keep on your keychain and share with friends and family.

Global Running Day
The weekly morning Track Run will happen on Wednesday this week instead of Thursday. Why? Because we have pledged to be a part of Global Running Day. More than a million kids around the world have pledged to run on June 6th and we will be joining them. Meet at school at 7am for a nice run around the loop. Reminder this is not a drop-off event; a parent must accompany their child on the run. Please email Angela@ps107.org with any questions.

PSACC Raffle Fundraiser + Family Game Night
Look for the raffle sale at PS107 this Monday and Tuesday morning before school, and purchase your tickets for a chance to win one of these awesome prizes:

  • A custom cake made by our beloved Afterschool director, Ms. Sandy!
  • A quilt made by students in Ms. Vivian's knitting class!
  • 2 baskets of gift certificates for use at local stores!

Raffle tickets are 1/$5 and 3/$10. All money raised goes to support the Park Slope Afterschool Center at PS107, a 501c3 charitable organization, and its scholarship fund.

The Family Game Night Fundraiser on Wednesday night is sold out, but if you’re one of the lucky folks who already got tickets, get ready for a fun-filled evening at Brooklyn Game Lab from 7-9pm. Visit psafterschool.org to learn more.

Summer Camp Offer from BrooklynAYSO Soccer
A former PS107 family, who has asked to remain anonymous, has made a generous offer to BrooklynAYSO for the benefit of the PS107 PTA. From now through the end of August, they will be donating $25 for each PS107 player who registers for a week of soccer camp with BrooklynAYSO. (You may recall that AYSO also generously donated weeks of camp for our Summer Camp Auction earlier this spring, but those purchases have already benefited our PTA and are not included in this offer.)

Please visit the BrooklynAYSO Camps landing page and select the camp weeks you would like to send your child(ren): http://www.brooklynayso.org/camps.php

If you are currently registered or have already registered for BrooklynAYSO's Fall Season, just login and go to Events and select the camp you wish to attend.

When completing the Camp Registration, please note in the Comments “PS 107 Student” so that we can review and verify with PS107. If you have registration issues, please contact director Larry Swertloff at lswertloff@brooklynayso.net
