Welcome Potluck 9/13 - More Details!

To those who have joined so far, thank you so much for volunteering to bring food, drinks, ice, coolers (and more + more!) to the Welcome Back Potluck on Saturday, September 13th!

Set Up Time: Set up for the potluck will begin at 11am, in preparation for a 12pm event start time. Feel free to drop off your items during this window for a seamless set up.
Note: we do not have any way to keep food warm or cold.

Coolers / Ice / Drinks: If you are volunteering to bring any of these, it would be especially helpful if you could drop off early so that we can get those set up and cooling off. If you’re unable to make it during set up from 11-12, please arrive as close to 12pm as possible to make sure we have everything we need to get the party started!

Label Everything: Please label any Tupperware, dishwater, coolers, etc. with your name and phone number or email. Remember to take them when you leave, if you can!

Ingredients: If you are bringing a homemade dish, please include a notecard with the ingredients, especially allergens.

Tips for making it a GREEN event (from the PS 107 Green Committee):

(1) Use your own dish! Bring in your own dishware, labeled. If you need to bring in a disposable dish, opt for aluminum - they’re easily and efficiently recycled. Either way, use aluminum foil for covering instead of plastic wrap.

(2) Store-bought Food & Drinks: Minimize plastic packaging as best as possible. Opt for larger, recyclable drink bottles rather than individual juice boxes, etc. We will have paper cups!

(3) Bring a water bottle to refill.

(4) BYOC (Bring your own cutlery). Pretend you’re on a picnic, and bring your own cutlery from home! Pack it in and pack it out to wash at home. This cuts down on the amount of plastic cutlery we will have to use - a great habit for kiddos to start to adopt and normalize!
