A message from the PS 58 Auction Team

I was asked to send this on behalf of the PTA Auction Committee:

To our PS58 family,

Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  The past few months have been a time of adapting, experimenting and learning. We have all come to realize that the 2020-21 school year at PS58 is going to look quite different from previous years.The PTA is going to be instrumental in helping the school bridge potential funding gaps, provide assistance to our wonderful teachers and give our kids the tools they need to continue receiving an excellent education.

The auction team is committed to making plans for the event that provides a large portion of the PTA’s yearly budget.  However, with the health and safety of our families and community in mind, we have decided not to pursue an alternate 2020 date for our beloved event. We will return in the spring of 2021, and will roll over as many of our existing donated items, sponsorships and ticket sales as possible.    

We are so grateful to all who have purchased tickets to the event. The ticket sales we took so far have helped to cover  our out-of pocket expenses this year, including our auction platform, supplies, and the deposit for The Bell House, our amazing venue.  For anyone who purchased a ticket, we are happy to offer multiple options for a refund. We are also so grateful for anyone who chooses to donate the cost of their ticket or roll over their ticket for our event in 2021. These funds will directly help us with the critical support we will need in the next school year.   If you bought a ticket you’ll get a separate email from our auction website, GiveSmart, this week with options.
