2020 ANNUAL FOOD FESTIVAL INFORMATION AND ATTACHED SIGN-UP FORM
The food festival is just around the corner and we are so excited to see you all there! We hope you will plan to join us not only to taste all the yummy foods but to bring a dish as well. The attached form enters you into the food competition and also allows us to properly plan for the event (this also went home in backpack mail).
Where? PS 58 Gym
When? Sunday, February 9th 12-2pm
Contests? Think about making a dish to enter one of our contests and win prizes:
Best overall dish, best meatball & kids baking contest.
Food: If you are bringing a dish we suggest 80-100 “tastes”. Each taste needs to be small. Will it fit in a small tasting cup? On the edge of a toothpick? We have run out of food quickly in the past, so please be mindful of this. Keep in mind we will not have access to the kitchen in the cafeteria so all cooking must be done at home. We can provide sternos and possibly other ways to keep food warm. Let us know what you need!
Day-of Event: Each participant should arrive early enough to set-up their table and prepare food. Please be available to help serve & maintain “tastes” as needed. If this is something you can’t do, let us know, we can work something out! We will provide table cloths, serving plates, toothpicks and utensils. You will be given a flag and a food information card where people can vote by placing a sticker on the card.
Please fill out the attached information we need for the food information card during the event. PLEASE RETURN THE FORM no later than Feb. 3rd to the front office, your class teacher or you can email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If your child is entering the KIDS BAKING CONTEST, we will need you to provide information below and we also need parent/guardian signature on this form. (Please note: all children need to be supervised …this is not a drop-off event).
