Please help P.S. 58 support CHiPS, a local nonprofit that, since 1971, has been a lifeline for our neighbors who struggle with homelessness and food insecurity. This year, we are hoping to meet our goal of raising $3,200, and to collect 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food and personal items.
You can donate funds to our cause now.
We’ve set up a special PS 58/CHiPS donation web page. Please feel free to share the link widely with your friends and family. (Last year, we exceeded our goal of $3,000 and raised $4,100. We’d like to repeat that success this year!)
Our “1,000 pounds of food” drive begins Tuesday, November 12th.
We will be collecting non-perishable food and personal items listed on the donation page (open link and scroll to bottom). Collection bins will be set up in the lobby. (Please open the link and scroll down to read the list of items requested. Don’t bring things not listed there because we may not be able to use them.)
Cheer for your child’s class in the Turkey Trot, November 25, 26, 27
All students will get a chance to run in the Turkey Trot. The schedule of class participation is below, and families are encouraged to cheer us on. Due to limited space in the yard, we ask that you wait outside the school fence, but please bring your enthusiasm--and maybe even a hand-held sign--to cheer our children on!
