Dear PS 58 Families:
The excitement and energy for the Read A Thon has been amazing! Keep encouraging your children to log their minutes. Here are answers to questions we've gotten:
How do I pledge money?
- CASH: You can collect cash and send it in to school through your child's backpack folder on Monday, March 2nd in an envelope or paperclipped to your child's reading log.
- CHECK: Checks can be made out to PS58 PTA and sent into school in your child's folder along with their reading log.
- ONLINE: Here is the donation page for parents in our 58 community.
- ONLINE for Relatives/Friends: Here is the donation link for the public/ people outside the 58 community.
All of the above are great ways to pledge, do what is the most convenient for you.
Does reading to my child count:
YES! Cuddle up, read, and log those minutes.
Does reading for homework count?
Does reading to stuffies and pets count?
Do I really need to call my humorless aunt we only see once a year and ask for a pledge?
YES and NO. Dial the phone but have your cute children do the asking.
I have more questions. Who do I ask?
