Science Pets Looking for vacation homes!
PS58 The Carroll School

Hi PS58 Families,

It's that time of year again! Our science classroom pets are looking for a vacation home for the April break.  They can be left on their own for a long weekend and are very easy to care for!

Let me know when you would like to pick them up from my classroom - room 112!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Thank you for your help!

Holly, the Russian tortoise Signed Up: 1 / 1

Holly is very sweet and loves to eat cucumbers and green leaves (kale and iceberg lettuce are her favorites right now).

Chubby, the chubby frog Signed Up: 1 / 1

Chubby eats crickets (I will make sure you have enough, but you can always get more at Petsmart on Atlantic Ave) and needs his habitat to stay moist with either a spray bottle or my fogger.

Frisky, the water frog Signed Up: 1 / 1

Frisky eats frog pellets and loves to just hang out! Frisky always stays in the water...he can't come out of his habitat.

Walking Sticks Signed Up: 1 / 1

They get sprayed with water once a day and love to eat romaine lettuce.

Snails Signed Up: 1 / 1

They love carrots and cucumber! If they are hiding in their shell....just spray them with water and out they'll come!

Log hotel Signed Up: 1 / 1

The three millipedes and roly polies just need a spray of water every few days.

Mealworms/beetles Signed Up: 1 / 1

The very small mealworms and adult darkling beetles need some juicy fruit or veggies to drink from. There favorite is apple and carrot slices.

Their habitat needs be moist and they love eating most vegetables and some grinds too!
