PS58 The Carroll School
We hope you are off to a smooth start to the 2018-2019 school year. We know this time of year marks new beginnings for students and parents alike. As a parent or guardian in our school, you are automatically included in our Parent Teacher Association. PTA involvement is a great way to meet more members of the community that we all love so much and support our kids as they continue their educational journey.
Throughout the year we will ask you to join us at meetings, volunteer at one of our fantastic events and pledge funds to help provide resources for the enrichment of our children (like the robust In Class Programing and teacher mini-grants that we support). We will never ask to donate more than you can give—but hope that you do give when you are able, and we don’t mean just financially. We live in a dynamic community that is very rich in talent and heart, and wish for the PTA to be inclusive of all families.
The first PTA meeting is Wednesday September 26 at 7pm.
At this meeting we will be discussing upcoming community events like the Costume Carnival, Direct Appeal kick off, ways to make Konstella a more useful communication platform, upgrades to our facilities and many other topics.
As your new PTA co-presidents, we are excited to embark on this journey with you. We have ideas and we’re sure you do too. We would love to hear from you. Our mission is to support this incredible staff who always put in the extra effort for our children. We hope you can join us.
