We are kicking off the 25/26 school year with our 1st FOPBE Meeting on 8/21 at 5:30 pm! We hope that you can come out and join us to learn what FOPBE (the PTO) is all about and learn about some exciting volunteer opportunities! Did you know that each year FOPBE raises over $100,000 that goes directly back to PBE to fund all the amazing opportunities we give the students at PBE? Some of these opportunities include:

• monthly art lessons in each classroom
• an annual book fair
• monthly garden lessons for each classroom 
• a Halloween Carnival (fun for the whole family!)
• a 2x weekly jogging club
• a professional theatre performance put on by an outside company
• monthly science lessons put on by San Diego Youth Science 
• school supplies for all students donated by FOPBE 
• field trips for each classroom 
• and many more! 

Without our volunteers none of this would be possible! 

 

What is FOPBE: Friends of Pacific Beach Elementary (FOPBE, the PTO as you probably remember it as a kid!) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students at Pacific Beach Elementary. As a parent-teacher organization, FOPBE serves as a venue for parents, teachers, and administrators to interact together to create a dynamic educational environment for our children. FOPBE fundraisers through various avenues to bring educational and enrichment programs to students, and funds school needs during the school year.

 

How you can get involved at PBE: Come to our volunteer kick off meeting on 8/21 at 5:30 pm in the professional development room at PBE! FOPBE will be presenting all the opportunities we have available for you to get involved and will be soliciting sign ups for various events. This is a GREAT way to learn about all the various volunteering opportunities and events FOPBE sponsors and fundraisers throughout the year. 

 

If you can't volunteer this year, no problem! We would still love to have you at our FOPBE meeting. This is a great opportunity to meet some new faces and learn about all the exciting events your child/children will have the opportunity to participate in this year. We hope to see you there!
