- Contribution Drive: (Monday 8th Sep 2025)
Our 2025 Contribution Drive will be LIVE! on 8th September 2025 with different ways to make a contribution, it is easier than ever to donate!The Contribution Drive is the first major fundraiser of the school year. All money raised helps fund our amazing programs at PBE including San Diego Youth Science, Whole Child Playground Supervision, Garden Enrichment, Arts Attack, Class Field Trips, School Supplies, Library Books, and MORE!TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION:

Starting Monday, September 8th, Yogurt on the Rocks is back at PBE for FroYo Mondays!YOTR will be selling Frozen Yogurt ($2) and Tastee Pops ($4) in front of the marquee every Monday immediately following school dismissal.A portion of all sales will be donated back to FOPBE to help support all of the wonderful programs we provide for our students including San Diego Youth Science classes, Arts Attack classes, Garden Enrichment, STEAM events, Jogging Club, class field trips, and more!Stop by for a sweet treat before you head home and support our students!And thank you to Yogurt on the Rocks for being a 2025-2026 Platinum Corporate Sponsor!
- PBE Mom's/Parents Night out: (Wednesday 10th Sep 2025)
Take a well-deserved break and join us for a night of fun! On Wednesday, September 10th at 6 PM, we will be meeting at Froggy's at 954 Turquoise Street for drinks, food, and excellent company!
All are welcome! Come make some new friends and connect with old friends! We look forward to seeing you there!
- Pizza Wednesday: (Wednesday 10th Sep 2025)
We will be serving Pizza Pal Pizza in front of the auditorium, immediately following school dismissal at 12:15 PM.
You can choose from cheese or pepperoni pizza for $2/slice and a kid's drink for $1. Pizza sales are CASH only or you can add money to a Pizza Wednesday account through Konstella.
All proceeds from sales go towards funding the amazing programs we offer to our students at PBE such as garden, San Diego Youth Science, class field trips and more!

- Free Parent Workshop with Dr. Wais (Wednesday 12th Sep 2025)
All PBE families are invited to attend a FREE Parent Workshop Series with Dr. Wais on Fostering Academic Success in the PD room.
Fridays: September 12, 19, 26, October 3 and 10 from 8-9 AM.
We all want our children to succeed at school, but how do we help them achieve this? For one hour, one day a week for five consecutive weeks parents will learn tools that will enable them to foster in their children the skills science tells us are essential for academic success and overall well-being.
Topics covered include:
1. Growth Mindset
2. Effective Praise
3. Character Strengths
4. Enhancing Self-Control
5. Taking on Challenges, Embracing Failure and Feedback
You're invited to attend all 5 sessions, one session or however many you're interested in attending. We hope to see you there!
- PBE Noon Duty Assistant
PBE is looking to hire a Noon Duty Assistant- $$17.13/hour Working M, T, Th, and F from 10:15-12:15
Assist the school staff by supervising pupils in cafeteria areas and on playgrounds during lunch and recess period.
Community Events / Clubs:

- Coastal Cleanup Day: (Saturday 20th Sep 2025)
Come help us keep our beach beautiful! You're invited to our annual Mission Beach Cleanup on Saturday, September 20th from 8 AM to 12 PM.
We'll be meeting on the grass by Belmont Park to collect trash and keep our coastline clean. This event is a collaboration between the Mission Beach Town Council, Don't Trash Mission Beach, and Coastal Cleanup Day in San Diego.
This is also a great opportunity for local students to earn community service hours! - Learning/MBREA Golf Tournament: (Monday 13th Oct 2025)
Many have supported this tournament in the past and many of you have already signed up to sponsor, play, or support in some other way this year as well.
Even though the tournament is still 6 weeks away, early bird pricing is ending in a few short days and we'd like to get all of those who are interested in the exposure their companies are looking for at the event.
Last year with your help we were able to raise over $29,000 that went back to the 4 Pacific Beach schools we are supporting. We'd love to be able to give that amount back again this year.
This year you will have the opportunity to win an Acura as well as a Sundance golf cart along with many very unique silent auction items.
