PTO Piney Post - Week 35 - May 13, 2024
Mon, May 13 11:08am

Steve Roslonek of SteveSongs returned to PGS last week to reveal the lyrics of the school song he is creating using the students' ideas and they all practiced singing the song together.
Each grade spent an hour with Steve last week.
We are so excited and can't wait to hear the finished product of the new Pine Grove Anthem!

Topics on the agenda:
* Boosterthon recap
* Fundraising Ideas
* Budget
* New Board Positions

On Tuesday, May 7th, the teachers and staff were treated to a beautiful luncheon and ice cream bar, sponsored by the PTO. Thank you to everyone who contributed items and donated their time to help out with the luncheon and lunch/recess duty!

A big shout out to our hospitality team, Ashley Marolda, Sarah Pfinsgraff, Jen Oligino, and Stephanie Close for all their time organizing, setting up, and running this event. Thank you ladies!!

Playground Trees
We love the beautiful trees on our playground, behind the basketball courts. Students love to play under them, relax in the shade they provide, and enjoy their changes throughout the seasons. Recently, students have been climbing the playground trees during parent dismissal and after school play. Please encourage your children not to climb the trees for safety reasons and ensuring we can continue to enjoy them. We do not want their branches to break or someone to fall. Thank you.
Playground Equipment Storage Boxes
We kindly ask that if your child is playing on the playground after school, they are respectful of the playground equipment storage boxes and not stand or jump on them. These storage boxes were purchased with PTO funds raised during boosterthon last year and installed early this year. Again, this is for safety reasons and to ensure the students can continue to have a place to store playground equipment for years to come. Thank you!
