Last Friday was music to our ears at Pine Grove School!

Thanks to the donations made through Boosterthon, our students had an amazing opportunity to meet jazz musician and percussionist Mr. Alvin Carter, Jr. From exploring ethnic rhythms and learning valuable life lessons, to discovering different African drums, Mr. Carter's visit was a hit with all of our students.

Ms. Alexander, Mr. Higgins, and a brave group of volunteer students also had a chance to play the drums alongside Mr. Carter. It was wonderful to see our students engaged and having fun while learning about different musical instruments and cultures.

A big round of applause to all the families who donated to the PGS Boosterthon to make it possible! We look forward to more enriching experiences like this for our Pine Grove students in the future!

Are you ready to shower our incredible teachers with love and appreciation during the much-awaited Teacher Appreciation Week from May 8th to May 12th? The PTO is already gearing up to make this week a blast, and will soon be in touch with the room leads to share some super fun ideas on how to make it happen! Parents are welcome to join in the fun with the room leads, or show their love and gratitude in their own awesome way!
