Description:
In this class, students learn a brief history of and a basic introduction to the dramatic arts; read short plays; explore techniques and engage in activities designed for memorization, improvisation, physical acting, expression, and projection; and present a historical speech in character. In addition, the class plans, writes, and performs monthly chapel skits and various other short plays, including choose your own ending and audience participation plays. This course helps students become more comfortable in front of an audience and builds skills in memorizing, speaking, expressing, acting, and presenting.
