-Please see the attached documents for more details about Linden's Read-a-thon and Passport to Reading event.

-Linden's Read-a-thon will happen during PSSA testing April 9-27

-Encourage your child(ren) to read every night of Read-a-thon and work toward the school's collective goal of reading for 100,000 minutes. Time spent reading to your child also counts toward the total.  Record reading time on a piece of paper and submit it daily to your child's homeroom teacher.

-Every 10,000 minutes that the school collectively reads will a new unlock reward like homework passes, extra recess, popcorn parties, special assemblies, etc.  Something extra special will happen if the students read for 100,000 minutes!

-Passport to Reading Night: Imagination Station will take place Wednesday, April 11, from 6:15-8:00 pm.

  • The purpose of the event is to promote literacy and build excitement for Read-a-thon.  Each student that attends Passport to Reading Night will add a 60 minute bonus to the school's total.
  • Every child who attends gets a free book!
  • Parents and teachers read some of their favorite stories to the kids.
  • Food will be available for purchase.

-Volunteers are still needed to make Passport to Reading Night: Imagination Station a success! Please sign up to volunteer on Konstella, or contact Volunteer Coordinator Jody Clair-West at jodikaizk259@yahoo.com.
