A Community Request from LMPS parents Tammy and Jeff Megraw: Support Lookout Mountain Preschool

A message from Tammy and Jeff Megraw - LMPS & Ralston Elementary Parents

Hello Ralston Families,

If your child was formerly a student at Lookout Mountain Preschool (LMPS), we would be deeply grateful for your support in this important call to action.

Lookout Mountain Preschool needs our community right now.

For those who may not be aware, leadership at Rockland Community Church has decided not to renew LMPS’s lease, which will terminate at the end of August 2026. The church plans to use the entirety of the available space exclusively for direct discipleship opportunities. This news is especially heartbreaking, as LMPS has been located in this space and has been a vital part of our community for over 30 years.

Despite tireless and ongoing efforts by LMPS leadership and staff, the search for a new location has not yet been successful. LMPS is respectfully requesting just one additional year of tenancy to allow time for a thorough, thoughtful, and responsible search for a new space—ensuring continuity and stability for children, families, and staff.

We are asking for your help in making a collective impact. Please consider sending a thoughtful email expressing your support for a one-year lease extension for LMPS to all of the following:

Heartfelt messages from families whose lives have been positively impacted by LMPS may help influence decision-making and encourage reconsideration of this short-term extension.

Thank you for your time, care, and willingness to help keep this beloved preschool and its legacy alive.

If helpful, please find attachedsample email that you can copy and personalize.

If you choose to send an email, please do so as a private individual, sharing your own personal experience and perspective. Any communication sent represents your individual views only and does not represent the views of the Ralston School community, The Ralston PTA, Ralston School staff, or the school district.

With gratitude,Tammy and Jeff Megraw
