Write a one-page letter showing how the teacher you wish to nominate demonstrates the following criteria:
NOTE: this award isn’t limited to teachers that serve in the classroom. It is also for other school staff that play large roles in our children’s education. For example - DTL (Digital Teacher Librarian), AMP teachers, SELS (Social Emotional Learning Specialist), Principal, Special Education Team Member, etc.
- (Required) Innovative and effective teaching methods that demonstrate critical and creative thinking. Give examples of how the teacher uses imagination, innovation, and ingenuity to teach.
- (Required) Commitment to all of their students that goes above and beyond official job requirements. Show how they advocate for the needs of their students.
- (Optional) The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive school environment. Please illustrate the teacher’s collaboration with peers and ability to lead by influence.
We are so proud that two current Ralston teachers received this award since it launched in 2012, including:
- Jessica Somers
- Kara Tice
These teachers are not eligible to be nominated again. Please take a few minutes to nominate a teacher or other professional today! They will receive a copy of your nomination letter and it's a wonderful way to let them know how much you appreciate their dedication.
If you have questions, feel free to contact Megan Hessee (firstname.lastname@example.org), Ralston Elementary representative to the Golden Schools Foundation. Thank you for taking time to nominate our wonderful Ralston teachers and staff!
