Hello Redstone Families,
We are one week away from our fun run and by this time next week your child will be talking about how much fun they had at this year’s event! For those of you who love a good competition here are our classroom leaders by grade level. The highest fundraising classroom by grade will be awarded a Gym Glow Party. (What kid doesn’t love a good glow party!?). We’ll keep an eye on this leader board as this incentive doesn’t lock in until our fundraiser ends!

Classrooms that meet their classroom fundraising goal will be able to check out a fire engine and ambulance courtesy of South Metro. AND there’s more….winning in this category also allows the kids a visit with a Therapy Pet! We do not yet have winners in this category but I can tell you that Cundy, Lopez, and Emmons are all very close to achieving this prize. I’d like to see more teachers on this list next week!

As for Run Day updates, the last couple of years we have incorporated an optional obstacle course for those kiddos who maybe aren’t as focused on how many laps they finish but want to participate in a different way! This was well received so we’ll do it again this year. We’ll have this set up on the back side of our track.
We are still in need of volunteers to help make this event a success. Every volunteer opportunity does still allow you to cheer your student on during their run slot. I’ve included the run schedule for your review as you consider helping us out! There is one minor edit to this schedule. 2nd and 5th graders will now start their run 10 mins later than originally planned. Here is the FINAL FINAL schedule with those changes reflected.
