MOVE-A-THON is TODAY!
Sat, May 11 7:04am

Calling all RHS families! The Move-a-thon is TODAY, SATURDAY MAY 11, with a day of walking and family fun. Please join us!

    • Who: YOU, your child, and your family!
    • When: TODAY, Saturday, May 11, 10-3pm. Registration opens at 9:30am.
    • Where: Redwood Heights School schoolyard
    • Why: To celebrate and have time together while we support our school. Kids will walk and earn credit for laps, parents and families will hang out and listen to good music with DJ Delon, eat food with the Dad’s club, and spend time together.

What you need to bring:

    • Water bottle for your child (kids earn one lap for bringing a water bottle, and they will need it to stay hydrated!)
    • Your family :)
    • A box of frozen popsicles to keep the walkers energized
    • Reusable plates and utensils
    • A hat/umbrella/sunscreen
    • A blanket, chair, or anything else for hanging out

*****Call for Volunteers*****

Thank you for spending part of your day today helping to make the Move-a-thon a success!

We need more checkpoint volunteers: Our biggest outstanding need right now is for checkpoint volunteers at stations around the course. If you have friends you can recruit, please do! These checkpoint parents get to do the fun stuff (spraying the kids with water, playing music, cheering them on!) and also critical safety stuff (making sure kids are OK, staying on the path, and staying hydrated). It’s just an hour of time and it makes a HUGE difference.

If you're able to help, check in at “volunteer registration” when you arrive. We will give you our phone numbers, and specific instructions for your role. Bring with you:

  • A chair
  • Portable radio for tunes!
  • Sun cover/hat/umbrella/sunscreen
  • Water for yourself
  • Bubbles (if you’re so inclined!)
  • As you take pictures, please send them to crishiah@gmail.com so we can put them in one folder together.
