Hello RHS Community,
We hope that your families have adjusted to the new school year! We are now in full speed into September with some Highlights!
The goal of the Reach New Heights Giving Campaign is to raise $50,000 through one-time and recurring donations. We aim for 100% participation from all RHS families.
CLASSROOM CHALLENGES started this week, and run for 3 weeks:
August 27th until September 14th
We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE recurring monthly donations. Every family that establishes a recurring 10+ month donation will receive an RHS car magnet with our new Sammy the Squirrel logo (see image below)
Suggested donations range from $15-$250 per month, based on your family's ability to give.
You may use 0.5% to 1% of your annual household income as a rough guide. For example,
$50,000/yr = $250 one time donation = $20 per month (12 months)
$200,000/yr = $1000 one time donation = $80 per month (12 months)
For the Classroom Challenges calculations, all recurring donations will be entered as the total donation for the year.
Donations are tax deductible and qualify for your employer's Matching Program.
Please spread the word to your family and friends by sending them the Public URL link: https://www.konstella.com/open/donations/5b7be933e4b05b234e8bc837
Any amount they donate will go towards winning the Classroom Challenge for your child!
RHS PTA spends more than $600 per child each year to support learning and inspire creativity in our students. To meet this commitment and grow our programs for next year, the PTA needs YOU to help us meet our $230,000 fundraising goal for the year.
A couple of the many ways to get to school on time:

Walking school bus departs between 8:10-8:15 from Jordan Park

Enter school from back side gate.
If you are interested in joining, show up at 8:10am at Jordan Park, or look for Elsie along the route and jump in!
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
-Enter the drop off lane at the corner of Aliso and 39th.
-Please wait for the volunteers to signal if you should pull up or have your child exit the vehicle through the passenger side.
-Make sure your children are ready to get out of the car with their backpack, lunch, and any additional items in hand.
-Be kind and courteous to the volunteers when they ask you to follow the drop off lane rules. The volunteers want to make sure that you are stress free through the lane, and that our children our safe during the process.
PLEASE DO NOT:
-Park to assist your child.
-Do not make a U-turn or 3 point turn anywhere on 39th.
-Do not drop children off at the end of the line.
