Science Alliance adult volunteers needed

Dear Fabulous RHS Families,

On March 23, we are hosting RHS's 273rd Science Alliance. Well, not really the 273rd. But we've had a lot of them for a long time. It's an awesome tradition. Come be  part of it!

This year's Science Alliance will be the Phenomenal Physics festival from Lawrence Hall of Science. There will be about 12-14 table top stations of really fun science topics for your kiddos to explore, from magnetic levitation and seeing sound to spinning fast enough that you wish your group had gone before lunch and a "shock"ingly good time. They're all super fun (I know  cause I've tested them all, plus I've watched a bunch of kids play with them). We're actually the very first school to get this festival--even more exciting, right?!

Lawrence Hall of Science will bring all the stuff and an educator to support us, we just need to facilitate the stations. You don't need any science background to facilitate. Everything you need will be there, and an educator from LHS will provide a brief orientation before each session to get you ready. It's also a great way to learn how to talk to your kids about science.

Did I mention we'll have free food and coffee for volunteers?

You can even sign up to facilitate during your child's session--see session signups. Of course, you're welcome to stay all day.

I hope you can make it!
