Auction season in the spring? Why not?! Auction parties in the spring, summer, and fall? YES, please!!!
As you’ve probably heard, the auction is historically the biggest fundraiser for our school, and as such we are going to need to be creative this year to raise much needed funds for our school for the current year and next. The parent-donated parties play a huge role in reaching our goal and are typically the hottest items at the auction. Auction parties are always a great way to meet and hang out with the other parents in our community!
This year, creativity is key, I’ve already received some great ideas from hosts for this year, including virtual game nights, “Sips and Stems” - a backyard flower arranging class, small backyard dinner parties for ~6 guests, virtual makeup tutorials, virtual poker, and a few more. Keep the ideas coming and submit your idea or fleshed out donation on the form!
Want to help out but not come up with an idea? We have some immediate opportunities for hosts to help out with virtual game nights, either by moderating a game night (tutorial by our own Darren Raveneau included) or by pairing up with a moderator to donate/prepare game night snacks/drinks to make the party complete. If this sounds up your alley please reach out to Jen Schneider directly!
The Auction Party FAQ’s have been adapted for these unusual times, and include some helpful details and potential party ideas to get you started.
Still have questions about hosting a party? Want to discuss an option or possibly find a co-host? Contact Jen Schneider at firstname.lastname@example.org. As always, thank you for your generosity!
Have something fun/interesting/unique you have to offer that’s not a “party”? We are also seeking services or other offerings to auction off in either the Online Auction or at the “live” virtual event on April 24th. Here’s the announcement and the submission form for that.
