Be sure to RSVP by clicking here so we can plan for dinner and childcare. Families are invited to bring plates and utensils from home to help reduce trash, but of course they will also be provided.
Childcare: Family volunteers will be on the RHS yard. Your children are welcome to bring scooters and balls to play with.
* LiveScan Fingerprinting Info:
If you'd like to be an unsupervised volunteer (i.e. volunteer without being supervised by an OUSD employee, e.g. chaperoning fieldtrips), you will need to complete LiveScan fingerprinting. To complete fingerprinting, please sign up for a time slot, bring the completed LiveScan form* and be prepared to provide payment of $42 at the event. Venmo, cash, check and credit card will be accepted.
Click here for more information about becoming a cleared volunteer. There are different types of clearance, so please see the info below to know which requirements you would need to complete:
- Unsupervised – Receive an ID badge to indicate clearance to volunteer without being supervised by an OUSD employee. Registration, TB, and fingerprints are required. Note that Oakland Ed Fund offers some scholarships to cover fingerprinting costs.
- Supervised – Must be supervised by an OUSD employee. Registration and TB required.
- Special Event – Must be supervised by an OUSD employee. Registration required.
*Once registered with Oakland Public Education Fund to volunteer, they will email you the latest form to complete and bring to your LiveScan appointment. For any questions regarding this form, please email them at osv@oaklandedfund.org.
