PTA President's Message
Dear Parents,

I’m so excited I’ve got goosebumps!  Have you seen our first school paper, The Redwood Times?!  The kids did an amazing job creating this paper, and we couldn’t have done it without the vision and leadership of Narkees Rosenberg. Thank you Narkees!  It make me so happy to be able to support such an endeavor through your generous donations to PTA, so thank you.
It’s been go, go, go since December began with all the Holiday prep and celebrations in our household.  I’m sure it has been the same for you.  I hope you have a heart warming, joyous, and relaxing time with family and friends this holiday season, and we’ll see you back at school on the 9th of January!  Yes, that’s a Tuesday. :)
Happy Holidays! And Go Seals!
Sandy Nelson, PTA President

Claim Lost & Found Items TODAY!
Parents, the Lost and Found is overflowing! Monday, December 18th is the last day to claim items. Please plan to look for missing items today. It will all be out on the blacktop at drop off time for easy looking. At the end of the day, all leftover items will removed and donated locally.

Mindfulness and Yoga Enrichment
Sandpiper will be starting a Mindfulness and Yoga Enrichment class in an effort to help students cope with the stress and anxiety felt by our children in today’s competitive world.  They have a very structured program that can be shared with us if anyone at RSE would be willing to lead either the Mindfulness or Yoga classes.  Please contact Sandy if you are interested.  This would really benefit our kids - especially the ones getting ready to head into middle school or if a child is particularly sensitive to change/social factors.

Robotics Club Expansion
We have a parent who will lead the second Robotics club, however we need a second parent to enable the class.  Please contact Sandy if you are interested.

Yearbook: Great time to start uploading photos during the break!
You can start uploading all the fun photos from class field trips and activities into the designated folders in TreeRing. There is a shared folder for each classroom (labeled by grade and teacher name), as well as each school event. You can easily share photos using these community folders, or start downloading some favorites for your custom pages! When you open TreeRing, under the PHOTOS page, select “ALL COMMUNITY SHARED FOLDERS” and you will find the labeled folders ready for you to upload your photos.
Not too late to order a yearbook! Go to and use our school code #101282597210657 and you will have until April 30th to design your two free custom pages. For questions, contact Christine Wong. Happy holidays!

One Warm Coat Drive
Your 4th Grade Girl Scout troop is partnering with One Warm Coat to collect new and/or gently used coats for their service project.  As the temperature drops and it starts to get cold, several families in the Bay Area are not able to afford warm jackets and coats.  Bring your coats and jackets for men, women, and children to the school office and place into the coat drive box by December 20th. Thank you for your support.  Email Monica Brillantes with questions.
