PTA President's Message

Dear Parents,
The PTA Fundraising season has come to a close, and I am so grateful for the community we have here.  We raised 104% of goal combined between our two fundraisers.  With that, we are able to support all the programs from last year as well as new programs for this year including before and after school enrichment clubs and teacher professional development.  In addition, we are ordering lots of books for the library plus some furniture for the library better suited for children of all sizes and needs.  Our current furniture does not allow flexible use of the library by all.  Look for more improvements to come as we continue through the school year.  Thank you to all who donated money and time!  We will continue to have PTA events throughout the year, but we now shift monetary support to SchoolForce.  Please get informed to understand how important it is to support SchoolForce.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all at Multicultural Night on Friday.  I can’t wait to see all the wonderful performances and sample the diverse food that’s such an important part of all cultures, so please consider bringing in something yummy!
Go Seals!
Sandy NelsonPTA President

Volunteers Needed

There are more volunteer opportunities available. Please take a look on Konstella under committees and sign up or contact the PTA Board Liaison of the committees if you are the right person for the job.

We are also starting to look for committee chairs for next year, so email me if you’re interested in carrying on our traditions in your own way by leading a committee! We need you!

Multicultural Night is Friday, November 17th
Multicultural Night is a chance to be unified by pride in our children and celebrate the extraordinary diversity of our RSES community.  The night will feature several performances from various highlighted regions around the world.

We invite children in the school, in any grade, to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis in a song performance.  For more information and sign-ups, please click here.
