PTA Announcements

Candidates for RSES PTA Board Needed ASAP!
The good news is that volunteers have stepped up to cover most of the PTA positions for 2019-2020, and many of the people who chaired a committee this year are already looking forward to the role again next year.  What we need now is a volunteer to serve as VP of Events.
The VP of Events supports all chairs of school-wide non fundraising events, serves as liaison between PTA and event chairpersons / committees, and assists in executing events.  Time: 1 hour a week or more prior to an event.
PTA board members are vital to support our teachers and for the health of our school. If you or someone you know would like more information or if you are interested in serving on the board please contact Christy Meier. Thanks!

Lost and Found
Visit the office and you will notice a new lost and found rack! Hopefully having a better view of what is in the lost and found will result in more reunions of items to their owners. Non-clothing items will continue to be removed at the end of each month, Clothes checks will happen twice a month. In a clothes check, new items will get marked with a safety pin and any clothes with a safety pin from a previous clothes check will be donated. As before, volunteers check for names/room numbers on items and return items to student's classrooms when able, so please put your student's name on their coats/sweatshirts.

Congrats AGAIN Robotics Team!

RSES Robotics team of 5th Graders Dhatri Vennela, Kathrine Yen and Yutaro Omura participated in the Nesbit Robotics Tournament on Saturday, February 9th and won the Elementary School Excellence Award!  Thanks to the PTA for giving RSES students the opportunity to explore the world of robotics.

Last Call from Ralston’s PTA President:
There is a very large need for volunteers at Ralston for the upcoming school year. Many positions need to be filled to maintain a strong working PTA. The success of Ralston students and students across our entire district is truly dependent upon a united parent community!
Open Board and Chair positions are: President, VP/Communications, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Parliamentarian, Field Day Chair, Staff Appreciation Chair
For PTA position descriptions, click here.

Please consider one of these open positions and join us, and please pass this on and share with anyone you think may be interested and a good fit.
We must announce nominations at our PTA meeting on March 8th, and vote in the new board at our last PTA meeting in May. Given our timeline, please indicate your interest in volunteering at your earliest convenience.
If you would like more information about open positions for 2019-2020, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you, Andrea Ganim, Ralston PTA President
