Happy New Year!  Please review these messages, reminders and community announcements.

Principal's Message (ICYMI)

Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members,
On behalf of Redwood Shores Elementary School Teachers and Staff, I wish you all a happy 2019! I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation filled with family, friends, and memorable adventures.
January 7th is a Professional Development day for many BRSSD employees. People from throughout the district will come together to receive training on valuable topics related to their positions. Personally, I am excited to reconnect and learn together with my colleagues.
We look forward to seeing you and your children on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. School will start at it's regularly scheduled time, and all students can go directly to their classrooms in the morning.
Fondly,
Karrie Amsler
Principal

PTA Announcements

Happy Birthday Miss Anne!
Those of you who have been at RSES since it opened in 2010 know that Anne, our lovely crossing guard has been here since day 1, always smiling and happy.  Anne turned 80 on Sunday, January 6!  In appreciation of her and to honor her special day, our school community provided her with RSES gear and purchased a bench for her, which will be waiting on the first day back from break.  We invite you to express your appreciation for her and join in the celebration of this milestone birthday however you feel moved to do it.  An expression of the heart can include a warm hug, a flower, a handmade card, or just a heartfelt ‘Happy Birthday’.  We’re sure she’ll appreciate any and all expressions of affection.
